Academy of Sail makes learning to sail an enjoyable and safe experience.
It also provides an opportunity to meet new friends, and charter boats.

COMPETENT
CREW COURSE
Your dream of sailing a chartered yacht around the Whitsundays, or even
the Caribbean, is closed once you've completed your Competent Crew Course.
Whatever your vision of where yachting will take you, it all starts with
the Academy of Sail Competent Crew Course.
Your schooling is delivered aboard out ocean going 40ft ketch (2 masted
yacht) "Breezy".
You will be learning to sail aboard a vessel that has circumnavigated the
world.
The certificate presented by the Academy of Sail on successful completion
of the course, represents an achievement to take pride in, and your passport
to the world of cruising.

NIGHT SAIL COURSE
After you have completed the Competent Crew Course and received your Certificate of Completion, you may wish to enroll in our Night Sail Course.
This course involves a 4 hour theory and practical night on the water. You will learn to navigate in and around Adelaide’s Outer Harbour at night. How to Helm at night, follow lead lights and navigate through channels at night. An excellent course for people looking to sail their own boat in the area and gain confidence in sailing into our Ports at night.
