The Boat
The Academy of Sail owns a Duncanson 40 ft ocean going yacht so we can offer a large practical component in our courses and this is where your experience comes from.
The yacht has sailed tens of thousands of ocean miles and has seen hundreds of students become capable sailors.
The Duncanson 40 ft was the recipient of an Australian Design Award and a Prince Phillip Design Award for design excellence and innovation.
It is strong, reliable and very stable.
There isn't a better or safer boat to learn to sail on.
